Why Race as a Team?

- Safety
- Shared experience

How Partner Matching Works
One of the things that makes Swimrun unique is that many events allow athletes to race as a team.
Instead of taking on the challenge alone, you can share the experience with a training partner, friend, family member or fellow Swimrunner.
Step 1 – Create Your Forum Post
Introduce yourself and tell the community a little about your Swimrun goals.
Include details such as:
- Your location
- Experience level
- Preferred race distance
- Upcoming events
- Swimming and running background
The more information you share, the easier it is for others to find a suitable match.
Step 2 – Browse Existing Posts
You don’t have to wait for someone to find you.
Explore the forums and connect with other Swimrunners looking for a partner, training buddy or team member.
You may discover someone preparing for the exact same event.
Step 3 – Start a Conversation
When you find a potential partner, send them a message through the community platform.
Discuss:
- Race goals
- Training schedules
- Experience levels
- Expectations for race day
A good partnership is built on communication and trust.
Step 4 – Train Together
Whenever possible, arrange a swim, run or training session together before race day.
This helps both athletes:
- Build confidence
- Learn each other’s strengths
- Practise teamwork
- Develop race strategies
Many successful Swimrun partnerships start with a simple training session.
Step 5 – Race Together
Once you’ve found the right partner, it’s time to enjoy the adventure.
Whether you’re aiming for a podium finish or simply crossing the finish line together, Swimrun is about teamwork, support and shared achievement.
Remember
You don’t need to be an elite athlete to find a partner.
